Thank you to all the volunteers and shoppers who made this a success!
Even in a very tough economic year the fair was successful in raising over $112,000.00 for worthwhile charities - thanks to the support of volunteers, shoppers and our sponsors. 57 charities were supported. In addition to helping international charities funds went to many local groups here in the foothills of Colorado: Mountain Peace Shelter and the Salvation Army received donations. Two local Girl Scout Troops, Drive Smart Evergreen/Conifer, Blue Spruce Habitat for Humanity and MOPs arre just a few of the local vendor charities from our own backyard. Internationally, some of the funds went to the Colorado Haiti Project, Friendship Bridge, Into Your Hands SERVV and others.
The charities are selected on the basis of their life changing and sometimes life-saving work. For more information, see the tabs for Charity Vendors and Donation Table at left.

At
our heart, we are an ecumenical, faith-based initiative, which promotes
the idea of seeking creative ways to gift. Gift Twice means using money
that we might already budget for gifts on special occasions and
directing it in a way that allows us to provide a gift for our loved
ones and a gift for a charity of our choice at the same time. Originally
started in 2000, the event is now in its tenth year - and growing
rapidly.
We welcome and include all faiths to join us in our mission.
The event was originally named the Alternative
Christmas Fair when it was founded in 2000. Since the event takes place
in November and provides gifts for all occasions, the name has been changed to Alternative Gift Fair (AGF) in 2010.
NEWS In 2010, the event has been renamed the: ALTERNATIVE GIFT FAIR My how this event has grown. It all started in 2000 with the idea to use our buying power for something more worthwhile.
