MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Bridging Hope is to provide assistance to indigent, ill, disadvantaged, and disabled women and children in Vietnam by raising awareness of their needs among citizens of Colorado and by creating opportunities for charitable giving to support programs and projects in Vietnam.
ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
Bridging Hope is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. It was founded in 2003 by Sen Nguyen, a Franciscan Sister, who fled Vietnam in the last days of the war to find the mother she had been separated from. After returning to Vietnam in 1991, she witnessed continued desperate situations there. She created Bridging Hope to provide jobs to disabled women and to support underprivileged children in order to improve the quality of life and further self-sufficiency. The organization works to provide job opportunities for women affected by polio, nutrition to women and children affected by HIV/AIDS, breakfast and schooling for underprivileged children, bicycles for transportation to school, and computers for learning.
