         100% of the money from your purchases and donations goes to the families in Ethiopia. This project provides about 60% of the income for about 500 people in 43 families in Ethiopia. The sale of one necklace will clothe and feed one person for one month!

The mission of The Jasmine Company is supporting families in Ethiopia who want to help themselves rather than receiving charity.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION

The Jasmine Company is a non profit organization that was founded in 1985.  The necklaces they sell are made by the Addis Heywet Women's Income Coop that was begun in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in 1995.  This was a group of formerly homeless families that now support themselves totally by the sale of these necklaces.
