MISSION STATEMENT

Namlo's mission is to help people of developing countries help themselves through education and grassroots programs while providing an opportunity for students in the US to learn about global issues and experience the joy of helping others.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION

Namlo International is a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) organization. Since the first school was constructed in Nepal in 1999, Namlo has impacted the lives of over 700 children in remote areas of Nepal and Nicaragua by providing them the opportunity to attend school in a building their community has helped construct in their own village.

Did you know that a namlo is a flat piece of woven rope that the people of Nepal use to carry loads? It is worn over the forehead and connects to the load with a rope. This, of course, is where the organization's name comes from.
