HOW YOUR SUPPORT WILL HELP

            Your purchases will help People of Hope Crafts carry out their mission. Our artisans are paid up-front: half of the total upon placement of our order, half upon receipt. This practice ensures that the artisans? income is not contingent upon our sales, even if we are unable to sell an item.

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of People of Hope Crafts is to support a variety of artisan cooperatives throughout El Salvador by marketing their crafts.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION

People of Hope Crafts-Fair Trade Crafts, a nonprofit division of the 501(c)(3) organization Project Salvador, supports a network of twenty artisan cooperatives throughout El Salvador. People of Hope does this through the sales and marketing of fair trade crafts in the United States and is committed to paying fair wages and establishing sustainable livelihoods. People of Hope makes regular visits to El Salvador throughout the year to ensure that working conditions in the co-ops meet high standards for fairness and justice. These visits are an excellent opportunity to build friendships and alliances with  artisan partners and learn new ways to support these groups.
