MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Pillow Hugs is to comfort children experiencing difficult and often traumatic situations, such as domestic or child abuse, by giving them handmade pillows.
ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
"Pillow Hugs" is a ministry endorsed by Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church in Lakewood, Colorado. It was conceived by a Companions in Christ Bible study group. For over 2 years they have purchased pillows and made child-friendly pillowcases for them. By working with domestic violence shelters, homeless shelters, and child protection agencies they provide children who are victims of trauma with a bit of "sunshine" in their lives through these pillows. Over 2000 pillows have been distributed.
