The Alternative Gift Fair was started over 20 years ago as a way to connect people in our community with non-profit organizations doing good around the world. The AGF is a volunteer-run arts and crafts fair where all vendors are representatives of charities and non-profit agencies.
The charities receive 100% of the funds from their sales.
Celebrating 22 years of the Alternative Gift Fair
AGF has been a part of the Evergreen community for over 20 years. For the past few years, the fair has been held at Evergreen Lutheran Church, with operating expenses supported by a bake sale and the generous sponsorship of local faith congregations. Volunteers from the community come together to help make it run, including youth groups from the supporting congregations that host a Youth Cafe, providing refreshments to shoppers and volunteers alike.

"The Colorado Nepal Alliance is rebuilding a school in Kuri, Nepal, destroyed in the April 2015 earthquake. We are a small nonprofit, and have found that building an earthquake-resistant school is far more expensive than we ever imagined. We have raised enough money to rebuild approximately 60% of the school. The money we raised at the Alternative Gift Fair is helping us pay for the project foreman's salary. We raised more than four month's of his salary! We are so grateful for the opportunity you provided for our organization to raise money in support of rebuilding educational facilities in Nepal."

The proceeds are assisting with the cost of expanding the Buen Samaritano Clinic's water purification building which provides purified water to the impoverished community of El Floron in Manaba Province of Ecuador.
